Clockwork Pages are Empty or Stuck at Loading

If Clockwork is only showing empty pages, or your are getting an “App is not responding….” message, follow the steps below to troubleshoot.

Ensure the DNS Is Working

Type https://clockwork-prod-2.herokuapp.com into your browser. If you see either of the images below (or any other error page suggesting DNS doesn't work):

  1. Try out alternative DNS service from Cloudflare https://1.1.1.1 as a temporary solution.

  2. Contact us so we can investigate.

Check if the Browser Connects to our Servers

Determining if a connection problem is caused by an error on our end or a blockage on your end can help resolve the problem faster. The instructions below are written for Chrome. However, you can use the “Developer Tools” from any browser to find the Network traffic. Then filter for Clockwork.

  1. Go to Developer Tools.

  2. Select the Network tab and reload the page. Then filter by clockwork.

The 200 Status Code indicates that the first request (to Jira) succeeded.

Potential Problems

Status shows 50x

This means our service encountered an internal error and we should already be working to fixing it. However, if the problem persists, please contact our support.

Status shows ERR_TUNNEL_CONNECTION_FAILED

This means that your proxy server is blocking requests to our servers. Please contact your IT support or ISP and ask them to whitelist:

  • https://clockwork-*.herokuapp.com

  • https://*.clockwork.report

Any Other Error

Please contact support.
